Support at every step of the way

Working closely with both Avetta’s US and UK teams during its global restructuring programme, we put in place all of the appropriate measures to manage an efficient and fair consultation. As Avetta has no HR presence in the UK our role was crucial to delivering a well-organised management procedure with clear communication at all stages.

After advising and setting up the initial processes, we managed the entire UK consultation period, liaising with Avetta every step of the way.  We were on hand to ensure that Avetta’s team were made aware of UK employment legislation at each stage, enabling them to streamline the consultation phase, whilst ensuring compliance.

The Reality HR team organised and managed the process, with operational and HR managers in the US present during meetings with employees. We ensured that the relevant US based HR and operational managers were fully briefed ahead of all consultation meetings, so that they understood their roles and knew what was expected of them. Reality HR were fully engaged during all the one-to-one sessions with the affected employees, to make certain that every employee was dealt with in a fair and consistent way, with their questions directed to the relevant Avetta manager.

In addition to legal guidance during the consultation period, we managed a TUPE project for Avetta, ensuring that employees’ terms and conditions were preserved during the transfer to the new employer.

We are continuing to support Avetta on an on-going basis with other UK HR challenges, which they would be unaware of without our input. One example is GDPR compliance, which as a piece of EU legislation, will affect all US and other global businesses that have a UK and European presence.
