As part of a focus over the next few months on everything line manager-related, we’re offering a free “Back to Basics” session at Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke, on 9th October.
The hour-long session is designed to help line managers gain confidence in dealing with staff issues and in having the difficult conversations that can go with their role.
If you’ve been recently promoted to line manager, or you or your employer feel you could benefit from a refresher in how to manage people, we will be discussing the most common line manager queries we get asked. You will leave the session feeling more confident, taking away hints, tips and guidance on how to be the best line manager you can be!
The session will include a “quick-fire question time” during which Reality HR’s specialists will give advice on how to handle the issues faced by line managers – so you’re very welcome to come armed with your latest employee challenge to put to us.
This session offers advice on how to:

- Manage poor performance
- Create a healthy team environment that supports your team’s mental health
- Identify and resolve grievances before they escalate
- Recognise and investigate misconduct
