Effective Communication and Feedback

Course description

This module is essential for everyone who wants to improve their communication, understand the barriers to good communication and learn how to overcome them. With a specific focus on the additional challenges raised when communicating virtually, this module will help delegates build effective communication channels with everyone around them. Delegates will take away tips and tools for giving feedback to their team members, colleagues and even their manager. 

Learner Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to: 

• Understand the communication process and the barriers that can hinder communication. 
• Recognise non-verbal communication and ensure they use appropriate body language and facial expressions themselves. Recognise effective words and phrases to use or avoid.  
• Know how to use effective questioning techniques in a variety of scenarios  
• Listen actively and empathetically 
• Provide ROBUST feedback in a variety of situations, to assist stakeholders in improving and developing their performance and behaviours
