Course description

Following the introduction of the Worker Protection (Amendment to Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, employers are required to show that they have taken “reasonable steps” to proactively prevent sexual harassment in their workplace.

This short session is designed for organisations where there has been recent, comprehensive Dignity at Work training, as a “top up” to that training.

Delegates will be informed of the new duty to prevent sexual harassment, and advised of their responsibilities to proactively look for any concerns, and take action to prevent escalation. Managers will also be guided through their responsibilities to investigate and use appropriate formal processes to deal with any concerns raised or observed.

The workshop will use a variety of real-life case studies to explore the definitions of sexual harassment, helping the delegates to discuss and agree on what are acceptable and non-acceptable behaviours in your workplace

Providing this training will be one of the “reasonable steps” required by Employment Tribunals to evidence that you are working to prevent sexual harassment in your workplace.
