These courses are designed for members of staff who do not have responsibility for managing others. They are an introductory level and so no prior knowledge, or training is required. These modules can be delivered via a live video call, or face to face. Our experienced Trainer will lead the interactive 1 hour sessions, ensuring all delegates have the opportunity to participate and get involved in the discussions.

Wellbeing and Mental Health in the Workplace

The course aims to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues, and provides information for individuals to help them recognise possible causes and symptoms of mental distress, in themselves and in others.

Aimed specifically at individuals, rather than those managing others, this course will provide practical tools to help develop and strengthen their own resilience and wellbeing, as well as signposting support available to manage their own stress and anxiety.

Wellbeing and Resilience for Home Workers

There are many benefits to working from home, but there are also undeniable challenges. Your team members may be finding that the isolation, lack of structure and competing demands on their time is creating stress and worry that can easily sap their energy and positivity, and lower their physical and emotional wellbeing.

This session focuses on providing a set of practical techniques and tools to help home workers build resilience and maintain wellbeing outside the structures of office life.  This short session will cover the following areas:

  • What do we mean by wellbeing and resilience?
  • Increasing resilience and wellbeing when working at home
  • Understanding the Circle of Control
  • Altering thinking patterns around setbacks and mistakes
  • Learning to ‘respond’ rather than ‘react’
  • Managing your time
  • Recharging your batteries during and after the working day

Dignity at Work

This session will look at the legislation in the Equality Act 2010 and define dignity at work, bullying and harassment. Team members will learn about appropriate and inappropriate workplace behaviours, how to recognise when banter is no longer harmless, and how negative behaviours can impact teams and individuals.

Delegates will discuss how to call out inappropriate behaviours and raise any concerns or complaints they may have.  The focus of the session will be on creating an inclusive workplace where all employees feel welcome and valued.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Team members will learn about the legal basis for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as their rights and responsibilities as an employee. This session will cover:

  • the protected characteristics
  • the types of discrimination,
  • how to recognise and support the needs of individuals,
  • an exploration of unconscious bias and its impacts
  • what to say (and not to say!), and
  • how they can help make your company a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
