Course description

The course aims to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues, and provides information for employees to help them recognise possible causes and symptoms of mental distress, in themselves and in others. 

Aimed specifically at employees, rather than those managing others, this course will provide practical tools to help develop and strengthen their own resilience and wellbeing, as well as signposting support available to manage their own stress and anxiety. 

We also offer a version of this course for managers.

                      Learner Objectives

                      By the end of the session, participants will be able to: 

                      • Know the definitions of wellbeing and mental health, and understand why they matter to the company.
                      • Understand the causes and impacts of workplace stress, and how resilience can help people manage stress.
                      • Have a good understanding of how to develop resilience and wellbeing through the Five Ways to Wellbeing model  
                      • Be clear on the warning signs to look for in themselves and their colleagues and be confident to open conversations about mental health and signposting further help 
                      • Take away some ideas for helping to reduce stigma, and build a positive, supportive culture within their team
