Press Release
20 March 2014
Hampshire-based HR Consultancy, HR Solutions, has moved to new offices in Basingstoke as part of its growth strategy for 2014, a year which will see a number of significant developments from the company – watch this space!
From humble beginnings back in 2004 where current Managing Director, Laura Davis, worked from home alone, HR Solutions has grown to a 12-strong team of HR specialists providing an outsourced HR function to more than 60 companies across the south.
Having outgrown its previous offices, the new premises offer far more space and provides a clearer representation of the level to which HR Solutions has evolved. With its own in-house training facility, courses can now be offered to current and potential clients, along with its core services of providing advice on employment legislation, performance management and recruitment.
Laura Davis very much sees the move as payback for the hard work she has put into building the company over the last 10 years, commenting: “I am really glad that I acted on my hunch all those years ago that there must be many experienced HR professionals out there who have taken career breaks to raise families and may not be able to, or want to get back on the corporate treadmill. So I concentrated on developing the HRS Flexible Working Hour’s model giving all team members the flexibility to manage their working lives around their family commitments. And it works for the team and our clients who report how much they appreciate being able to contact consultants at flexible times, so it’s a ‘win, win’ situation all round.”
Laura also believes that the growth of HR Solutions is in part testimony to the increasing complexity of HR legislation and the penalties imposed for getting it wrong! Many SMEs simply do not have the time to keep up with the constant changes in employment legislation or deal with the situations they encounter effectively.
