Press Release

27 August 2014

Having taken on 15 new clients so far this year, it was time for Basingstoke-based Reality HR to increase its resources with the appointment of three new recruits. All three have been recruited since June, bringing the team of HR specialists to a total of 15 providing an outsourced HR function to over 70 companies.

In what is a landmark year for Reality HR, who have so far moved to larger offices, merged with another HR company and rebranded, the future for the company is looking very bright.

Nina Loveland and Nicola Gater have both been appointed as HR Advisers, providing support for the HR Consultants and Reality HR’s clients. This support requires a sound knowledge of practical and legal HR issues and can range from dealing with employee relations, client telephone queries and recruitment matters to redundancy calculations, policy drafting and issues relating to employment contracts – basically anything of a generalist HR nature.

Nina from Wokingham has just returned from maternity leave and has over 14 years’ experience in HR. She commented: “My reasons for joining Reality HR were to get back into an ‘Advisory’ role within a growing company. What attracted me was the broad range of clients and the fact that Reality HR had been nominated for a Working Mums award – I knew I would be working with like-minded people!”

Nicola lives in Sandhurst and has two young children, returning to work in April 2013 from maternity leave. She spent nine years in her previous role with an airport services company at Heathrow Airport, finally as an HR Manager having completed her CIPD qualifications. Nicola said: “I was attracted to Reality HR as I wanted to work with a great team of HR professionals that I could contribute to and also learn from. Their refreshing attitude to working parents and flexible work patterns enable me to maintain a good work life balance.”

Finally, Sarah Graham from Basingstoke has been recruited as HR Administration Assistant to basically support the whole office! Her work is very wide-ranging scheduling appraisals, arranging appointments for clients, typing up interview notes, preparing organisational charts – the list is endless! Sarah has just returned from maternity leave having previously worked for companies in Ireland and Australia, as well as the UK. Sarah commented: “My role is very varied – no day is ever the same. It’s very busy and there is a great buzz in the office. Reality HR is a fantastic company to work for as they are constantly growing and changing, they have a strong team and are very focused on their people and development.”

Reality HR Managing Director, Laura Davis, is delighted to have the new recruits on board and added: “2014 is turning out to be an excellent year for us as we continue to grow and the new recruits will now allow us to progress even further. I wish them all every success as I’m sure they will grow into valued members of our team.”
