- A lack of understanding is not going to be a defence – you will still be fined if you do nothing
- Don’t try to coerce staff into opting out of auto enrolment – you risk being fined
- The rules around when you need to have auto enrolment in place are different for each business – check out which is the right date for you here (this is known as your staging date)
- Pension providers are reporting it is taking up to 6 months to put the scheme in place, so you need to take action quickly
- This is not just an administrative task – you need to communicate with your team too
